The film is considered Hitchcock\u2019s masterpiece but was a box office bomb when originally released. James Stewards\u2019 fourth collaboration with Hitchcock, has him playing against type, he\u2019s creepy and almost becomes a villain by the end. Kim Novak plays two roles and she makes both different. It\u2019s a shame she wasn\u2019t cast in more of Hitchcock\u2019s work. Vertigo is the first film to feature a zolly\/ push pull shot.
